We all carry blame and fault. We virtue signal. We try, in safe ways, to make changes.

Expressed over three phases.
The artist kneads and folds terracotta clay with pioneer species wildflower seeds, straw and Hazel ash.
He then slowly applies the clay to his legs and feet, covering them in ‘boots’ of the mixture.
Heavy with this material the Artist walks in a repetitive arc on the tended front lawn of IMMA as the clay gradually falls from the feet and legs to be walked and ground into the manicured space
The clay stains the grass deep red and contains little ‘secret bombs of wild’ as its thread into grass..

The phrase ‘feet of clay’ originates from the Book of Daniel in the Bible. In it, Daniel interprets a dream of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. In that dream, a magnificent statue is seen with a head of gold, but weaker and less valuable metals beneath, until finally having feet of clay mixed with iron.
